Founded in 1909, the NAACP is the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization. From the ballot box to the classroom, the thousands of dedicated workers, organizers, leaders and members who make up the NAACP continue to fight for social justice for all Americans. The mission of the NAACP Youth & College Division shall be to inform youth of the problems affecting African Americans and other racial and ethnic minorities; to advance the economic, education, social and political status of African Americans and other racial and ethnic minorities and their harmonious cooperation with other peoples; to stimulate an appreciation of the African Diaspora and other people of color’s contribution to civilization; and to develop an intelligent, militant effective youth leadership.

PreMedLife Magazine Campus Edition was created in order to provide a resource which highlights student achievement, notifies students of health events within the college community and NY Metro Area, and provides health articles to students in a digital/blog format. We also provide medicine/health/and science related programming to the campus community. We work with staff of student writers who are assigned or state a topic in which they would like to write about. They may also elect to submit photos for publication. PreMedLife also spread news of this digital publication among the college community.

It is one of the biggest organizations on campus, and is mainly comprised of students within the Accounting/School of Business Department. Accounting Society strives to give students the tools necessary to develop essential skills that will enable them to choose the most suitable path and start a successful career. We are determined to provide a variety of opportunities for our members to learn more about the accounting profession and the recruiting process. These include networking with accounting professionals, faculty, and fellow students. We offer motivation and support to help students thrive academically and professionally.

MIP endeavors to uplift and educate young males, such that they would become leaders in their communities who improve the social and cultural image of males and encourage others to do the same.

We plan to provoke a change through both a community service based outreach group and a dance team that plans to promote unity among SUNY Old Westbury's diverse population in two separate entities. We plan to serve as role models by educating our peers on the importance of community service and other related awareness topics meanwhile properly representing our school at many community service opportunities on and off campus. We also intend to provide a quality team experience and the opportunity for members to enhance their dance technique through socially and culturally diverse performances. Each semester we plan to focus exclusively on a certain Service Project Subject (SPS).

World Changerz is a Christian organization that is made of collection of SUNY Old Westbury students. World Changerz is committed to making students more educated and equipped with knowledge when it concerns Christianity and biblical knowledge. This purpose will be carried out by discussing biblical doctrine and incorporating different ideas into making more of an overall effective Christian.
Shekinah Chorale’s mission is to spread the love of Jesus Christ through song. This ministry is a haven of hope and gears to serve as an example of peace. Shekinah Chorale’s singing is to minister to those in need by pointing students to Christ.
We as the science club at SUNY College at Old Westbury were created to support, educate and motivate science minded students. We are oriented to provide and promote educational, cultural and social programming and activities for the student body. We also aim to help ensure that the quality of education experiences at the college is maintained in order to encourage the development of students’ ongoing academic and professional pursuits.
We aim to inspire and educate business students to succeed by gathering valuable information to use in future endeavors and providing various networking opportunities. All business majors and students of SUNY college at Old Westbury interested in pursuing a career in a business related field including accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, management information systems, economics and all other associated are welcome to join. Pool Club
Our mission at the PEL Club is to guide students towards an informed understanding of current events, provide a safe and judgment-free atmosphere where students can talk openly about concerns affecting their communities and works to actively change these issues. The PEL Club addresses these issues with a can-do attitude while maintaining a fun and friendly approach.
Peer Educators grants students the opportunity to gain first-hand experience working in the helping field with an emphasis on valuing and respecting diversity among individuals. Peer educators are also given training in general counseling skills and ethical issues that are used in their interactions with student groups. Their work is supervised by the student development specialist and graduate interns of the Mental Health Counseling Program. The Peer Educator club was created with the mission of educating and promoting campus awareness related to substance abused, domestic violence, conflict resolution, anger management and to help the peer educators develop their leadership and event planning skills. Volunteer students are trained to sponsor educational programs such as drug and alcohol awareness, personal safety and relationships among other events. Peer Educators aim to achieve the goal of promoting positive life changes among SUNY Old Westbury Students.

Our objective is for SUNY Old Westbury students who are interested in fashion of all cultures, by enhancing the educational aspects of what fashion contributes to today’s society and developing skills on how to properly dress for professional establishments. Our goal is also to attract students who are willing to help advertise and educate other students by distributing valuable information about fashion.
