Campusvine started out as a project in the student government at Stony Brook University. In December 2009, Alex and Moiz wanted an online calendar of the upcoming events at Stony Brook. There were many products in the market at the time that claimed to be the solution for discovering events at a college campus.
Unfortunately, all of them suffered from the same problem: poor student engagement. Over Christmas Break in 2009, we set out to build a financial system to capture student event information.
Two sucessful prototypes and two long years later, we co-founded Campusvine LLC to build Campusvine. Campusvine enables students to budget, plan and promote their events on a college campus.
Campusvine connects the various groups that work together to make an event happen at a college campus. This includes student affairs/activities professionals, student club/organization leaders, student government officials/staff along with their fiscal agent and lastly local vendors.
By providing a platform for all of the various groups to communicate and collaborate, Campusvine makes it simple, fast and paperless to plan an event on a college campus.
