President*Knowledge of French is NOT required!!* This club is where students who take French, are planning on taking French, or are merely interested in French and francophone culture can meet up to connect with each other and learn more about the French language and culture. We also aim help students with their speaking, listening, and writing skills through the use of various activities. Activities include watching French movies/documentaries/videos, sharing music, playing games, text reading/dictation, and exploring the francophone culture. The club is an ideal platform for students who wish to learn about French language or culture without the commitment of taking a class. For students taking French courses, we also plan to offer unlimited opportunities for practice in a comfortable, non-intimidating environment where there is no judgement or pressure about a grade. Membership is open to the entire undergraduate SBU community: French majors, minors, or simply anyone who wishes to expand their horizons and engage in francophone culture.
TreasurerOur organization seeks to serve as a cultural organization, that promotes the exchange of Russian (Ukrainian, Belorussian, etc.) culture, traditions and language. It is through our events in which students can develop or improve their Russian Language speaking skills, or learn more about Russian-speaking heritage. We are dedicated to having a diverse student membership, and are open to having students from all backgrounds to participate.
