English Pal

English Pal gives international undergraduate and graduate Stony Brook students the opportunity to practice their conversational English in a casual setting with a native English speaker. At the same time, domestic students will be able to meet and learn from people of different cultures and languages. Each international student is paired with a native English speaker based on their application submissions, which provides insights on their interests, school year, and availability. Events are held throughout a full semester to allow pals to meet with other pals, in addition to creating a diverse community within the campus.

Treasurer

The Humanology Project

The Humanology Project aims for a reduction in stigma of mental & neurological illnesses by bridging the gap of knowledge and attitudes. We do so through the translation of peer reviewed literature into understandable articles and through a storytelling platform where patients can share their experiences so readers can gain a more holistic sense of the person. We envision a more inclusive & understanding world where people with stigmatized illnesses receive the quality care and treatment they need.

Muslim Students Association [MSA]

By the grace of God, our organization has been serving the campus community for over two decades! We represent all Muslims on campus at SBU. From our Wudu' stations and prayer room, to the Halal food; from Friday Prayer and frequent events, to our general body meetings- we got your back! All Muslims are invited to join us at our events and come perform the daily prayers in the MSA prayer room Room N5550, 5th floor of the Melville Library.
